Research abstract
???????Air Force (AF) procurement networks are vulnerable to fraudulent vendors, phishing scams, counterfeit parts, and bad actors. Current vendor scoring systems such as supplier performance risk system (SPRS) have failed to identify and prevent numerous major, yet preventable, scams and/or vendor failures. Additionally, AF supply chains are susceptible to bottlenecks and rely on many small vendors that often fail to meet basic cybersecurity requirements. The Chrysalis Platform provides trust and visibility into vendor relationships by enabling the Air Force to apply a patented Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Asset (KYA) approach to verifying the provenance of the business, team, funds and goods provided by each supplier, via the blockchain. For this proposed effort, Chrysalis will conduct a feasibility study to modify and adapt its commercial platform for the AF to monitor its supply chains and verify authenticity of all components/subcomponents by modifying its commercial offering to reflect Air Force vendor networks and supply chains.
