Research abstract
NUVIEW is the first-ever commercial company building a mission to map the planetÆs land surface with LiDAR-enabled spacecraft. A dense, 3D data set representing EarthÆs surface and objects, NUVIEWÆs point cloud is generated by using laser pulses to calculate the distance between the LiDAR sensor and the object being measured, creating a digital twin of our planet (or the Moon). NUVIEWÆs unique IP is their electronic beam steering capabilities that will map the EarthÆs surface 100x faster (with similar reduction in latency and cost) than the current state of the art LiDAR mapping accomplished on aircraft/RPA.
