Research abstract
NUVIEW is the first-ever commercial company building a constellation to map the planet’s land surface with LiDAR and continually refresh this 3D map of the world from sensors in space. A dense, 3D data set representing Earth’s surface and objects, NUVIEW’s point cloud is generated by using laser pulses to calculate the distance between the sensor and the object being measured, creating a digital twin of our planet (or the Moon). NUVIEW’s novel and unique IP is their electronic beam steering capabilities that will map the Earth’s surface 100x faster (with similar reduction in latency and cost) than the current state of the art LiDAR mapping accomplished on aircraft/RPA.
