Research abstract

QI Path proactively identifies ôwhat could go wrongö then implements risk-based planning, design, and execution leading to systemic improvement. QI Path has demonstrated a 97% reduction in medication administration error, 75% reduction in the incidence of serious infection, and an average 40x return on investment for hospitals.á In the high-stakes world of healthcare, errors are not an option. Poor quality, safety, and efficiency across error-prone processes in the healthcare industry leads to >200,000 deaths in U.S. hospitals each year at a cost of up to $29 billion annuallyľ there has even been an increase in preventable deaths since the year 2000. This is a result of the healthcare systemsĺ complacent and reactive approach of counting incidentsľ not preventing them in the first place.
