Research abstract

Fluid line connectors play a critical role in aerospace applications, ensuring efficient and reliable fluid transfer for safe and optimal operation. Existing technologies have limitations, necessitating the development of new connectors. This proposal introduces a novel, cost-effective design that provides reliable installation indication and leak resistance. Collaborating with HyPerComp Inc., comprehensive CFD modeling will optimize the design for different fluid systems. The proposed effort aims to address current shortcomings, including ease of installation, improved reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. By implementing these advancements, downtime will be minimized, reliability enhanced, and critical fluid systems in aircraft and spacecraft will operate smoothly, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
