RESERVOIR: Realistic Environment for Sound Experimentation of Recovery and Robustness in Software Trust

There is a critical need for large-scale Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and PQC simulation due to the increasing complexity and scale of digital networks and the growing security threats they face. PKI, being the backbone of secure digital communication, has to consistently evolve and adapt to address these challenges effectively. To achieve this, it's crucial to thoroughly test and validate any new strategies, technologies, or modifications before they are deployed in real-world systems at a high-fidelity large-scale testbed with realistic operational scenarios and environments. ProposedĀRealistic Environment for Sound Experimentation of Recovery and Robustness in Software Trust (RESERVOIR)Āwill beĀused to research and evaluate various use cases and mission scenarios for distributed trust management solutions. The proposed effort will investigate appropriate mitigation techniques and showcase the effectiveness of mitigation against RF-based attacks, network DDoS attacks, certificate server attacks, PKI vulnerabilities, and PQC algorithms.
