Research abstract

Advanced antenna systems provide multiple functions throughout the electromagnetic spectrum domain of operation. Due to advances in antenna technologies, there are several opportunities to replace legacy antennas with higher performing device that improves gain, bandwidth, and field of view. This could create command, communication, and control (C3) redundancy in systems and, in turn, make them more resilient to harsh environments. To meet this opportunity for improved operations, Nanohmics in collaboration with Texas State University proposes to develop a drop-in antenna to upgrade the bandwidth of Missile Defense Agency relevant platforms.
