Research abstract

PAXAFE Inc. has developed an AI-enabled IoT platform – CONTXT - that provides real-time location and condition monitoring throughout the end-to-end supply chain, and leverages machine learning to contextualize supply chain data to minimize adverse events, de-risk shipments and enable dynamic cargo insurance. PAXAFE’s IoT sensors deliver real-time data about the location and condition of goods in transit or in a warehouse, and then build cause-effect relationships between those individual sensor datasets in conjunction with 3rd party and ERP data to provide a holistic and accurate diagnosis as to how and why specific events happen, automated and in real-time. This accurate depiction of what happened looking backwards is used as input features towards building accurate prediction models to understand when, where and under which conditions are likely supply chain excursions to happen looking forwards. CONTXT is industry-agnostic, can be used across all shipping modes, and is comprised of in-transit as well as on-premise visibility. The objective of this SBIR Phase II is to further develop and test an enhanced version of the existing PAXAFE platform that best suits the needs and requirements of the Indiana National Guard, providing visibility and intelligence to the DAF and DoD logistic operations.
