Research abstract

The USAF warrior community faces an increased psychological and mental resilience burden as today’s warfighting increases the demand for distributed operations.  The ability to balance the psychological challenges of battlefield operations with the demands of personal lives places a new level of importance on how Airmen rest, recover, and train for the future.  R-Booth is proposed as a solution to help Airmen at the Squadron level maintain mental resilience through a scalable and modular Virtual-Reality platform that can be deployed or placed on-base in critical access points and configured with applications designed to reduce stress, connect with support resources, and improve resilience skills.
