Research abstract

In response to AF192-001, Parabilis is pleased to propose the continued adaptation and development of Parabilis’ low-cost, green, agile hybrid rocket propulsion solutions for Air Force and DoD needs. This technology provides a robust solution to the potential “Pearl Harbor in Space” scenario that current Air Force, Missile Defense and Space Development Agencies are struggling with – how to protect our space assets from adversary attacks at a reasonable cost. This technology leverages commercially proven hybrid rocket system experience to create smallsat-scale propulsion solutions. Parabilis’ satellite-focused hybrid rocket motor technology has a clear customer within the Air Force and, if funded, has a clear path to a flight demonstration which would unlock this technology as a tool for dramatically reducing the cost of in-space orbital maneuvering.
