Research abstract

The team will develop a prototype of an augmented reality product for high school biology topics focusing on cellular and molecular functions. Students will be able to manipulate models and view cell processes in an engaging and informative series of hands-on group-learning lesson modules. At the end of Phase I, in a pilot study with 10 high school biology teachers and 100 high school students, the researchers will examine whether the prototype and newly developed components function as planned and show potential for improving student life-science skills and interests.
