Research abstract
On the proposed Sequential Phase II effort, the project team will perform the first flight test of the ULTRA sounding rocket. ULTRA-VK is a high-performance, fully reusable sounding rocket that employs an innovative propulsion system which offers safe, affordable, and enhanced performance. The flight test will advance the ULTRA sounding rocket technology to Technology Readiness Level 9 and enable robust commercialization opportunities. Furthermore, it will fully demonstrate that ULTRA technology is capable of providing a highly agilie, high performance suborbital capability. Approved for Public Release | 25-MDA-12220 (23 Sep 25)
