Research abstract

Environmental laws and regulations have compelled federal, state, and local land management agencies to develop innovative strategies to comply and effectively support these directives. In effort to effectively support the mission and compliance with various environmental regulations such as the Endangered Species Act, the Air Force requires development of a rugged and innovative micro-meteorological system that can be deployed to various surface and subsurface locations for status monitoring and reporting. Cornerstone Research Group Inc. (CRG) proposes to develop a micro-climate sensor array system that is scalable enabling the study of small subsurface locations such as burrows and expand to large surface locations like solar panel farms.
