Research abstract

CRG proposes to build on their existing ballistic safe battery cell chemistries to increase power and energy density to support directed energy system needs. CRG plans to prototype cells showing a range of safety and light weighting improvements leveraging its prior work in safe lithium ion and light weight lithium metal battery cell development. In addition to meeting directed energy system needs CRGs proposed cell design will have dual use applications supporting commercial system requirements for eAviation and unmanned systems markets.
