Research abstract

MyCited is an AI-powered software platform for 6-12 students and teachers. Through 3 key innovations, it offers personalized support for the capture, organization, and analysis of information to create and communicate new knowledge. First, MyCited allows students to easily capture information from any media type: text, audio, video, or image. Second, it ensures that every captured passage is accompanied by a citation that is assessed for reliability and shares details to build media literacy. Third, it generates a “cognitive fingerprint” of students’ academic, executive function, and emotional regulation strengths and preferences that can be reflected to the student and shared with the teacher, providing detailed, research-driven, point-of-use support for hyperpersonalized learning. MyCited endeavors to extend the impact of research-proven solutions to secondary literacy with the intent to improve proficiency and empower the next generation of thinkers to solve the problems of our nation and our world.
