Research abstract

This R&D effort seeks to directly improve mission readiness, optimize spending, and enhance installation and enterprise energy resiliency through the scaling and implementation of eJARVIS, an Electric Vehicle Fleet Optimization and Energy Resiliency Platform. eJARVIS is achieved by scaling and building on VIA’s successfully deployed AI-enabled installation management software solution, JARVIS (Just a Robust Visual Infrastructure System). JARVIS securely automates the integration, storage, analysis, and visualization of fragmented, multi-format, critical infrastructure data, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the data-driven decision-making that guides CONUS and OCONUS Civil Engineering teams to maintain installation safety, mission readiness, and personnel comfort for personnel. This proposed R&D effort would enhance the capabilities of JARVIS to integrate, store, analyze, and visualize data related to electric vehicles (EVs), their associated charging infrastructure, related installation energy assets (e.g., generation, transmission, storage), local 1utilities providing electricity to installations, and relevant contextual information (weather, mission requirements, operational and capital budgets). This R&D project seeks to enhance current SAF/IEE pilots and initiatives, incorporating energy resilience data as requested. By providing a holistic software solution that securely consolidates, ensures accuracy and timely access, and enables rapid analysis and visualization of energy-related data in enterprise and installation Energy Dashboards, SAF/IEE will be able to drive Mission Assurance across non-contiguous installations and the entire DAF Installation Energy Program.
