Research abstract

The Army’s mission to provide CONUS and OCONUS harbormaster operations maritime port security is jeopardized by the lack of both integrated C4ISR assets as well as a coherent picture for situational awareness. On top of this, add the complexity of responding to port-specific threats and vulnerabilities. Modus Operandi’s innovative threat driven information integration approach for deployment of Army C4ISR addresses these challenges, yielding a tailored and unified picture for harbormaster operations and maritime domain awareness. Modus Operandi’s SE-Wave technology offers a better alternative that provides optimal threat coverage by making the most of available information assets. With SE-Wave’s model-driven approach and the tools to eliminate most of the manual integration effort, port-specific threats can drive the deployment, rather than taking a back seat. In this Phase II, SE-Wave will focus on the Joint Unified Maritime Protection System (JUMPS) C4ISR node. With the SE-Wave modeling and analysis tools, a JUMPS systems engineer can rapidly produce a Single Integrate Harbor Picture that unifies the standard JUMPS family of systems with port-specific information sources. With the SE-Wave integration tools and runtime platform, the SIHP model is deployed within a service oriented architecture to provide a unified view of information to all consumer applications.
