Research abstract

Management Sciences, Inc. (MSI) has developed Deliberate Motion Analytics (DMA) through both SBIR and non-SBIR research for monitoring and safeguarding critical environments. DMA fuses data from multiple sensors into a multi-physics system, leveraging time-based measurements to enhance detection accuracy rather than relying on isolated data points. Using advanced AI, DMA compares current and historical sensor readings, triggering alerts only when multiple tests confirm deliberate, threatening activity. We propose extending DMA’s capabilities to monitor Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond, detecting potential threats and analyzing activity patterns. Enhanced DMA will enable rapid response to emerging threats while integrating with existing assets and international partners, significantly reducing false alarms and operational costs. In Phase II, we will demonstrate DMA’s effectiveness in protecting Space Command assets, advancing the prototype's Technology Readiness Level (TRL) to meet Space Command’s security and performance standards. Our ultimate goal is to evolve DMA into a commercially viable product that addresses market demand for reliable, high-performance space security solutions.
