Research abstract

The focus for MATSYS, Inc., for this innovative research effort is to develop a projectile design and loaded ammunition that will ensure reliable detonation of explosive hazards while providing sufficient precision to meet and significantly exceed the fifty-foot stand-off minimum requirement, which will allow for an additional margin of safety to the using-EOD team.Ý Furthermore, the ammunition will maintain sufficient dimensional tolerances and quality to ensure reliable functioning in the intended service weapons.
