Research abstract

The US Air Force faces increasingly dangerous vulnerabilities in its unmanned drones due to adversaries like China and Russia, who exploit weaknesses in legacy GPS systems through jamming and spoofing. These tactics can degrade or even disable the accuracy of munitions, leading to mission failures, increased collateral damage, and compromised operational effectiveness. An adversaries’ ability to disrupt GPS signals also threatens the Air Force’s PNT and command & control in contested environments. The Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office and broader DoD both have a critical need for power- and space-efficient PNT solutions that can operate in environments where legacy GPS may be denied. oneNav’s technology provides low-SWaP, high-reliability PNT devices that rely exclusively on modern GNSS signals, offering a more resilient alternative.
