Research abstract

This project will develop a cryo-vacuum-compatible compact infrared spectrometer using recently-demonstrated resonant cavity technology. The resonant cavity design incorporates spectral selectivity into the detector itself, eliminating the need for extraneous, unreliable system components. This will enhance the spectral sensing capability of space simulation chambers at Arnold Air Force Base’s Space Systems Test Facility. Their improved capability will allow for faster, more reliable testing of high-performance interceptors and surveillance sensors.
