Research abstract

To address the challenges automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms face when operating in complex environments and meet the Navy need to perform mine countermeasures (MCM) operations against known and novel targets in complex and often novel littoral environments ARiA will develop and demonstrate the feasibility of Domain-Adaptive Multiple-Sensor Online Learning (DAMSOL). In Phase II ARiA will further develop, demonstrate, validate, and deliver a DAMSOL prototype that meets specified performance goals for automatic target recognition (ATR) performance in complex environments based on the novel algorithms developed and shown feasible in Phase I.
