Research abstract

Medical personnel burnout is widespread in the DoD, with 26% of military physicians burdened by bureaucratic tasks, insufficient administrative support, and excessive productivity demands. Moreover, 78% of those reporting medical errors experience burnout. In the Air Force, 35% of physician specialties operate with staffing levels below 80% of authorized positions. Hospital administration must act on feedback and analytics to reduce task overload. Arena Strive, integrating wearables, biometric feedback, and data-driven insights, offers a solution for efficient burnout management. Arena will partner with the 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Defense Health Agency, and U.S. Air Force Space Command to enhance Strive through R&D to integrate biometric data and an enterprise dashboard, to cut military medical burnout by at least 40%. Arena Strive is a novel mobile platform that combines data-driven content, human biometrics, and personalized performance coaching to help frontline clinicians reduce provider burnout by up to 40%. It fosters a high-performance mindset by applying proven tools for stress management, self-awareness, and recovery, similar to those used in other high-risk fields. Arena Labs is the first company in healthcare to conceptualize, build, and sell a platform that trains, educates, and equips frontline medical personnel around physiology and psychology for wellness and performance.
