Research abstract

Xairos Systems, Inc. (Xairos), Luminous Cyber Corp (Luminous Cyber), and Eritek are working together to propose a Fusion position, navigation, and timing (PNT) system consisting of quantum and optical synchronization of compact stable clock ensembles. This project will integrate the state-of-the-art hardware developed individually by this team to create a new paradigm in accurate and secure timing for a future Alt PNT network: Luminous Cyber’s compact clock ensemble with high-stability and reliability, maintained by AI/ML-driven data fusion, and clock steering algorithms. Synchronization over optical mesh networks among nodes allowed to move with arbitrary dynamic position, velocity, and acceleration with Luminous Cyber’s Position, Navigation and Time Protocol (PNTP). Optical communications and time transfer using Eritek’s free-space optical communications (FSOC) terminal. Resilient and authenticated timing using Xairos’ quantum time transfer (QTT) technology for secure and accurate time distribution with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) entangled-photon hardware This project will culminate of a field demonstration that evaluates the security, resilience, accuracy, and stability performance of this Fusion Alt PNT system.
