Research abstract

The U.S. Space Force has identified a need for an alternative PNT innovation center (PIC) where the PNT community can gain collaborative access to data, equipment, and facilities to accelerate the development and fielding of alternative PNT capabilities. nou Systems. Inc. (nSI) proposes to create a PNT innovation center by leveraging its experience and expertise in the PNT domain in partnership with the capabilities of an existing PNT laboratory within the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC). To build out the proposed proof-of-concept PIC for the Space Force, nSI will procure and integrate multiple alternative PNT simulation/analysis capabilities into an accredited network which will then be connected to the existing GNSS simulation and test capabilities of the SMDC laboratory. This combined capability will create a collaborative space where government, industry and academia can gain access to cost-prohibitive equipment, data, and test infrastructure to develop and test AltPNT technologies such as multi-sensor fusion algorithms, signal monitoring and PNT situational awareness devices, non-RF PNT technologies and more. With this proof-of-concept capability built out, nSI will demonstrate the simulation/analysis capabilities of the delivered innovation center to test a PNT situational awareness prototype from an industry partner that incorporates alternative PNT techniques into an existing GPS situational awareness prototype..
