Research abstract

In this effort Toyon proposes to develop and deploy a refresh of the timing, data collection, aggregation, and reporting sensor system at the Holloman High Speed Test Track. The proposed system will provide enhanced timing while utilizing existing copper cable infrastructure. Additionally, the system will provide for future upgrades and compatibility with future communications infrastructure. Data collection and aggregation will be centralized in a new computer system. This system will support a wide range of existing sensor types and protocols while being extensible such that new sensors can be readily integrated. This effort will also develop a new reactive intranet web-based interface for visualization and control. Finally, test reports will be able to be readily generated in customizable layouts to standard output formats, such as Excel. Toyon will seek to utilize open standards as well as provide all source code and documentation, such that the AF or other contractors can modify or build upon the system.
