Research abstract

During the initial Phase II SBIR project, QFS designed, built, calibrated, and field tested an integrated 3-axis fluxgate prototype and developed an active noise cancellation algorithm based on the sensor's intrinsic properties. Field tests on recreational boats demonstrated that the algorithm enables motion noise cancellation of 20-40 dB.  In this Phase II.5 project we plan to further develop the sensor and mature the system to TRL7. This will be accomplished by developing prototypes and conducting laboratory and field testing, including a system demonstration in a representative environment on an air platform. The end goal of the Phase II.5 project is a product that can be delivered to the government for exercise demonstration and operational testing.
