Research abstract

Following a successful Phase I and II ASW sensor development program, Oceanit will continue development of a compact, low-power magnetic anomaly detector (MAD) to replace the AN/ASQ-81 and related sensors. Oceanit will continue improvements to a novelĀtriaxial fluxgate sensor system that was designed, built, and tested in Phase II. Improvements will be gained on key system characteristics such as noise floor, magnetic field sensitivity, power-up/down, and platform motion compensation to confirm consistent, reliable measurement of characteristic magnetic signatures without interference from other unmanned vehicle subsystems
