Research abstract

This Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposal by Apothym Technologies Group (ATG) aims to develop an end-to-end next generation SATCOM architecture that incorporates Virtualized Digital IF modems and an underlying Global Network Management System (GNMS) that can take advantage of the digitization of the digital IF modem, digital IF protocol, and IF converters to be able to dynamically assign and deploy network and SATCOM resources on-demand and supports multi-tenancy applications.  ATG in partnership with Code Mettle will explore its existing GNMS capabilities and identify the management interface requirements for the Digital IF modems and digital IF convertors as well as define the user interface and workflow processes for to be able to request and manage SATCOM resources and have it automatically adapt to changing mission needs and environment.
