Research abstract

Third generation (3GEN) FLIR systems with high pixel density MWIR / LWIR FPAs have the ability to extend detection, recognition, and identification (DRI) ranges of U.S. Army platforms.  Attollo Engineering along with the DCB integration partner will refine dual-band SLS FPAs through multiple development cycles to improve key performance metrics, such as dark current, quantum efficiency, noise, operability, modulation transfer function, and NUC stability.  The team will work with growth foundries to qualify optimized epi-material for FPA fabrication.  Characterization of the FPAs will be performed under 3GEN FLIR relevant conditions.  The program will culminate in delivery of HD720p FPAs to the U.S. Army for evaluation.
