Research abstract

The research and development efforts of this proposal will contribute to solving the Radiation Hardened Microelectronics (RadHard ME) mission needs for space platforms, specifically regarding shielding from radiation effects including Heavy Ion, X-ray Proton, and Pulsed Neutron Single Event Effects. This is especially critical with increased miniaturization of space platforms (i.e. CubeSats), where the most challenging aspects are the space and weight limitations for these enclosures, which must fit into predetermined tight spaces with strict weight limitations.
