Research abstract

TrustPoint is developing a commercial Global Positioning System (GPS) alternative based on our patented signals technology and COTS microsatellite hardware to provide our users secure, high-accuracy Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions. As part of this effort, TrustPoint is developing a GPS interference monitoring capability to detect, classify, and geolocate terrestrial sources of GPS jamming and spoofing, and then broadcast the types and estimated locations of these sources in our signal’s navigation message. This GPS Interference Monitoring Service provides novel Direct-to-User transmission of jammer/spoofer type and location information, and a continuous, global datastream that can be integrated with operations centers around the world to provide near-real-time intelligence on sources of GPS interference to Civil, Commercial, and Defense End-Users.
