Research abstract

Firehawk Aerospace produces rapidly scalable, safer, modular, and more affordable hybrid rocket engines. Firehawk achieves comparable or superior performance to traditional propulsion systems by leveraging additive manufacturing to produce optimized fuel grain geometries. The N2O/ABS-based propellants used for FirehawkÆs hybrid rocket engines can be stored long-term and are inert before ignition, making it virtually impossible for accidental detonations to occur. Additionally, FirehawkÆs systems are specifically designed around easy to source materials supported by robust domestic supply chains. Beyond FirehawkÆs hybrid rocket engines, Firehawk also offers a wide suite of advanced propulsion systems and associated technologies, including monopropellant thrusters and additively manufactured solid propellants and other energetic materials.ĀĀ
