Research abstract

Femtosense Inc. is an innovative tech startup leading the charge to deploy sparse AI using novel techniques that are far more affordable and easier to implement than traditional AI computational technologies.ĀFemtosense'sĀbold mission is to enable users to leverage AI chips that exploit sparse mathematics and localized compute to execute advanced tasks with minimal power consumption and maximum computational abilities. Femtosense has built advanced AI hardware chips and state-of-the-art sparse AI models to eliminate noise and enhance speech with imperceptible delay to increase the intelligibility of audio transmissions and face-to-face communication in low SNR environments. Femtosense is partnering withĀĀcomms headset manufacturing companies Big Safari in the USA andĀBNCommĀin Korea to bring their AI noise reduction to military and motorcycle headsets by mid-late 2024, with plans to integrate with 3MĀPeltorĀheadsets in the future. This technology holds a multitude of other commercial and DoD use cases such as sound event detection for energy-harvesting remote sensors, voice authentication for outposts with limited internet, live voice cloning for intelligence operations, gesture recognition for soldier peripheral devices, and radar sensor inference.
