Research abstract

Cognicom’s Nano Secure Radio (NSR) is a Software-Defined Radio platform built with the most advanced LPI/LPD waveform family using state-of-the-art hardware components in both baseband signal processing and RF circuitry. Additional waveform features will be added in Phase-2 to further enhance the waveform performance. With the most optimized Size, Weight, and Power and a battery-operated, hand-held form factor, the NSR supports secure, high data rate operations in a very wide range of frequencies, from UHF to Ka, and over different environments, including terrestrial, tactical communications, and SATCOM. Cognicom’s NSR unites the most advanced technologies into a very flexible, versatile design that can operate in many diverse CONOPs without compromising SWaP or performance. The radio is also designed with a standard battery interface to facilitate the wide access to current and future battery technologies. Additionally, the hardware can host a large number of additional waveforms for operational compatibility.
