Research abstract

The proposed Phase II technical effort will leverage capabilities developed by Spectral Labs Incorporated (SLI) and our partner Ouraring, Inc. through our respective involvement in multiple DoD wearables programs over the last several years and in our respective AWISH Phase I programs. Our objective is to create a scalable and reliable wearables data collection system for capturing data from wearables across a network of computing resources (e.g. tablets and Sensor Gateways) and leveraging this data within the Crew Readiness and Watchstanding (CREW) system for further fatigue and readiness algorithm processing, leading to scheduling improvements and fatigue reduction. The SLI and Ouraring AWISH Phase I architectural approaches share many similarities and our intent in Phase II is to leverage the best attributes of our collective capabilities to provide the Navy with an AWISH solution that is flexible and adaptable to various environments and changing requirements.
