Research abstract

This proposal introduces a next-generation ISR software capability that fuses SATCOM and WiFi signal data to identify, track, and model the behavior of adversary personnel through passive device signals. Developed by Airia in collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin, the system enables real-time pattern-of-life (PoL) analytics without reliance on physical infrastructure or cloud connectivity. By ingesting raw probe requests, SATCOM uplink attempts, and other ambient signals, Airia’s containerized platform delivers AI/ML-powered insights on presence, movement, and anomalous behavior of enemy personas. This includes localization, inter-device relationship inference, and predictive modeling in GPS-/C2-denied environments. The platform has already demonstrated feasibility through WiFi-based deployments with municipal and campus security partners. This Phase II effort will expand capabilities to include full SATCOM data fusion, optimize models for low-latency inference, and validate the system in operational Air Force cyber defense environments such as 352 COS. With flexible deployment options and native compatibility with Air Force networks, this scalable, software-only system delivers ISR coverage and decision support at machine speed in austere, contested, or disconnected environments.
