Research abstract

DoD preparations for future conflicts have shifted their focus to peer and near-peer threats. Recent conflicts in the Ukraine and the Middle East have clearly demonstrated that the electromagnetic spectrum will be heavily contested. Manned and unmanned systems will need to be able to maneuver through an ever increasingly complex spectrum environment to achieve mission objectives. Resilient communications provides the foundation for data-centric tactical operations supporting applications including data exfiltration for Situational Awareness (SA), Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Targeting. Resilient communications are essential.
