Research abstract

Triton Systems, Inc. responds to Air Force need to develop polymeric based transistors and electronic devices on flexible substrate for integration with other complex functionalities such as flexible memory, flexible waveguides and flexible photovoltaics to form conformal smart skins and multifunctional structures with built in signal processing and functional control circuitry for air and space applications. During proposed Phase I, Triton will evaluate approaches to improve charge mobility, and charge-balancing issues in organic and polymeric phases. Simple device structure will be fabricated to give indication of device performance. The improvement of the performance of the mobility of these materials will enable high external efficiency Light Emitting Diodes with 10-20% external efficiency and pro-longed service life, thin film transistors with expanded bandwidth and performance level suitable for logic and memory applications.
