Research abstract

SSC/BCCB leads the delivery of Operational Command and Control (Ops C2) capabilities for the U.S. Space Force (USSF). These capabilities provide critical support for Space Domain Awareness, Coalition and Theater Operations, Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2), and Indications and Warning (I&W). SSC/BCCB connects operators and developers through a modern DevSecOps approach to accelerate the development and delivery of secure, high-quality software for space operations. The program applies Agile methodologies, lean product management, and Extreme Programming to deliver continuous value through rapid iteration and mission-focused capabilities.SSC/BCC is responsible for delivering Warp Core, an enterprise data management and operations platform built on Palantir technology. Warp Core integrates data from diverse sources, supporting application development, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision-making across multiple classification levels. The platform provides a common foundation for operational software, allowing teams to build mission applications without duplicating complex data integration efforts. Warp Core increases the speed and impact of software delivery while maintaining the integrity of source information, creating opportunities to unlock insights and operational advantages that were previously out of reach. Teams working within Warp Core gain access to a modern platform designed to accelerate development cycles, eliminate duplicative data efforts, and unlock advanced analytics across the space enterprise. As part of this effort, Rise8 will extend the Warp Core investment to expand operational flexibility within the environment. This effort introduces a secure, continuous path to production to enable continuous delivery for third-party containerized applications, adding full-code development to existing no-code and low-code options. With a government-owned, contractor-operated Secure Release pipeline that has an ongoing authorization for continuous delivery, SSC/BCCB gains the ability to deliver mission-critical software faster, with greater reliability, and with great cost efficiency achieved by leveraging an existing production platform. These improvements drive higher deployment frequency, reduce risk, and increase the efficacy and efficiency of digital capabilities supporting decision advantage across the space domain.
