Research abstract

The Naval Program Executive Office Digital & Enterprise Services office has outlined five mission outcomes that drive continuous improvement, they are: user time lost, operational resiliency, adaptability/mobility, customer satisfaction, and cost per user. One of the largest hurdles in completing these missions is the number of sizeable datasets, spread across multiple locations and systems in various formats. This has created an environment where information may not be readily available, accurate, and actionable, thus hindering the warfighter’s ability to make the best decisions for the personnel, equipment, and material under their care.  By partnering with the University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies, Beast Code, LLC is uniquely positioned to identify, analyze, model, and simulate a feasible and cost-effective process to automate data synchronization across multiple databases. Beast Code has experience creating custom solutions that bring together disparate sources of information and identifying inaccurate, outdated, or redundant information. This is done through a custom, user-friendly information visualization system and dashboard that can have the ability to alert end users of pre-determined fault characteristics. At the end of Phase 1, Beast Code will be able to further define the problem statement by demonstrating an in-depth understanding of details specific to the customer. Additionally, Beast Code will demonstrate the ability to overcome potential challenges including the amount, size, format, classification, organization, and location of applicable data.  Beast Code’s experience handling and refining data, while providing a modern, customizable, and user-friendly application will be critical for providing key decision-makers with the most up-to-date, accurate, and timely information available.
