Research abstract

Circle Optics' next-generation 360-degree Wide Field-of-View (WFOV) camera technology provides a significant advancement when applied to SDA by enabling real-time, continuous, real-time threat detection and surveillance tracking of hard-to-acquire targets such as small satellites and space debris. Leveraging advanced AI/ML algorithms for automated detection, classification, and tracking, our technology addresses critical gaps in existing U.S. Space Force surveillance architectures, especially for uncooperative mega constellations by providing persistent coverage at a fraction of the cost of traditional radar installations. Our systems edge AI processing significantly reduces the bandwidth required for data transmission, enabling efficient and responsive monitoring from multiple Earth-based locations, without human oversight. This technology enables real-time threat detection and response, positioning our ability to maintain space superiority in an increasingly contested environment.
