Research abstract

Quindar will develop and demonstrate a framework for automated mission planning, task deconfliction, and optimization on a simulated Earth observation mission. Specifically, the framework will include a task constraint modeling capability to flexibly capture temporal, geometric, and other conditionals that control task execution, an asset and sensor modeling capability with custom mission parameter inputs, and a core task planning optimization framework that supports flexible, objective-based tasking. An operating platform with these features will enable automatic, tactically responsive satellite constellations needed to respond quickly to adversary threats and maintain space superiority;  a need that has been expressed to Quindar government end users/customers.
