Research abstract

The primary objective of this proposal is to expand the small business manufacturer (SBM) base to address the DLA’s need to develop qualified sources of supply for NAVAIR’s brackets, miscellaneous hardware, and other applications to improve product availability, provide competition for reduced lead time and cost, as well as address lifecycle performance issues.  These objectives will be achieved through the development of Source Approval Requests (SAR) prepared and submitted by AMG Engineering & Machining, Incorporated for NAVAIR’s brackets, miscellaneous hardware, and other applications with technical data provided by the government, through other sources, and company research. AMG’s intent here is to demonstrate its broad engineering experience, manufacturing versatility, and processing capabilities to the extent that the company clearly demonstrates its capability to fulfill DLA’s goal for developing qualified sources to manufacture critical and legacy components for our Warfighters and to develop technical data that will satisfy NAVAIR’s SAR approval process.
