Research abstract

The Global Positioning System (GPS) has provided the primary means of position, velocity, and timing determination for over 30 years; unfortunately, given the prevalence of GPS denial methods, many critical systems cannot afford to have GPS be a single point of failure. The objective of this effort is to provide an independent-of-GPS source of PVT information to user receiver equipment. The outcome of this effort is a system that can serve as an alternative to GPS if it is denied, degraded, or otherwise made globally unavailable.
