Research abstract

In this proposed Direct to Phase II effort, Anthro will build Si-dominant anode Lithium Ion Batteries toĀdouble the energy density of DoD battery packs while maintaining MILSPEC performance for STUB. Anthro will accomplish the following objectives: 1) Optimize 250mAh RIPE containing Si-dominant LIBs for MILSPEC performance requirements, 2) Scale-up of in-house Si-dominant LIBs to 3-5 Ah, 3) Demonstrate MILSPEC performance in RIPE containing Si-dominant LIBs in STUB BB-2523 form factor with ~2x higher volumetric energy density (VED).
