Research abstract

Dignitas proposes to adapt and extend the Local Guide for Intelligent Assistance (LOGIA) platform to address the requirement for Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) courseware revision, update, and development using generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) faces an operational challenge in ensuring training content is relevant, effective, and current. Updating training content and developing new training content remains a labor-intensive process, requiring instructional system designers (ISDs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to manually extract learning objectives, design instructional sequences, and prepare content for Learning Management System (LMS) deployment. LOGIA is designed to provide an AI-based assistant to create efficiencies in transforming or creating training content while preserving doctrinal fidelity and instructional coherence.
