Research abstract

Our proposed OsmoInverter is a tactical, mobile, bidirectional power inverter designed to meet emerging export power and tactical microgrid requirements for the Army and other DoD end users. OsmoInverter leverages the latest Silicon Carbide (SiC) power conversion technology to deliver breakthrough power density, efficiency, and low SWaPC. Our novel electrical and thermal design exceeds 98% efficiency, allowing for a fully environmentally sealed fan-cooled unit weighing less than 45 lbs and suitable for single-man carry.
