Research abstract

Coaching/Innovator Program:áThe Coaching/Innovator Program is designed to transform Air Force members into experts in facilitation and innovation techniques. This comprehensive program focuses on skill development, using experiential learning to foster a deep understanding of strategy and create practitioners. Participants are trained to lead and manage innovative projects effectively, equipping them with the necessary tools to nurture a culture of innovation within the Department of Defense (DoD). Hands-on learning and practical application ensures that graduates are well-prepared to drive and support forward-thinking initiatives across various roles and functions within the DoD. Chip GPT: Innovation on Demand.áChip GPT is an AI-assisted facilitation support tool that provides on-demand, expert-level guidance in innovation and facilitation. ôOnboardingö time of an innovation skillset or module is reduced with no additional human resources or training necessary. Chip addresses the challenge of maintaining a consistent level of expertise and innovation capability within the DoD, despite frequent personnel rotations. By leveraging a carefully curated database and AI-assisted technology, Chip GPT offers instant access to a wealth of innovation resources, techniques, and guidance. This tool not only enhances the capabilities developed through the Coaching/Innovator Program but also reduces reliance on external consultants, fostering a self-sustaining culture of innovation within the DoD Minimum Viable Validation: Idea Assessment Tool.áAápre-execution tool for innovation research, designed to assess the potential of new ideas in terms of resourcing and market fit. This tool provides a systematic, data-driven approach to evaluating innovation projects, helping to ensure that DoD resources are allocated to the most promising and impactful ideas. By analyzing key factors such as return on investment and market readiness, the Idea Validation AI helps mitigate the risk of investing in unviable projects, thereby enabling more strategic and effective use of budgets in innovation endeavors.á Line of inSight:áA decision-tree based tool that guides individuals in creating detailed and actionable plans for innovation projects. This tool simplifies the process of innovation planning by leading users through a series of targeted questions and considerations, helping them assess their goals, opportunities, and available resources. By providing a structured approach to project planning, Line of inSight ensures that creative ideas are not just conceptualized but also effectively executed. This tool is particularly valuable in supporting service members who may have innovative ideas but need guidance in navigating the complexities of project development and implementation within the DoD framework. Whether quiet, loud, deckplate, or high-ranking, this tool adapts to the human needs of the individuals to assist in becoming the best innovator possible.
