Research abstract

The purpose of the proposed project is to develop a lightweight and efficient Turbogenerator to power UAVs, enhancing their range, endurance, and payload. This project addresses the growing need for hybrid power sources in next-generation aircraft, particularly those with VTOL capabilities, which especially benefit from lower-mass propulsion. Additionally, the Turbogenerator design is modular and scalable, making it suitable for directed energy power sources on existing airframes and as a compact, expeditionary ground power solution.
